The XIX Barcelona Manga Fair takes place in Halls 1 and 2 of the Fira Barcelona in Montjuïc, and at the Univers Square, which is part of the festival venue. There are two points of entry to the venue for public and professionals alike: Lleida Street and the Reina María Cristina Avenue. Hall 2 will house the exhibitors, manga and Japanese cooking workshops, exhibitions, the events room, video-gaming areas and other activity areas. Hall 1 will house the stage areas for concerts, dancing and cosplay and karaoke competitions.

OPENING TIMES

Thursday October 31st: 10:00 to 21:00 h.
Friday November 1st: 10:00 to 21:00 h.
Saturday November 2nd: 10:00 to 21:00 h.
Sunday November 3rd: 10:00 to 20:00 h.

TICKETS

The ticket is valid for one day only; any of the four days the fair is on. The four-day pass is a ticket for each of the event’s four days.
BOX OFFICES WILL BE IN ESPAÑA SQUARE, AS INDICATED ON THE MAP. BOX OFFICES OPEN AT 9:00 AM ALL FOUR MORNINGS OF THE EVENT.

General admission: €7
This can be purchased at the XIX Barcelona Manga Fair box office. The ticket is valid for one day only.
Advance sales of general admission tickets through El Corte Ingles and Ticketmaster.

Reduced price ticket: €5
The reduced price applies exclusively to Carnet Jove holders. Available only from the XIX Barcelona Manga Fair box offices. The ticket is valid for one day only. This type of ticket cannot be combined with any other promotional offers at the fair.

School Group ticket: €2
The school must provide a letter from the institution specifically stating the number of students and teachers attending. Available only from the XIX Barcelona Manga Fair box offices. The ticket is valid for one day only. This type of ticket cannot be combined with any other promotional offers at the fair.

4-day Pass: €20
The Fair’s four-day pass can be purchased from the event’s box offices.Advance sales of 4-day Pass through El Corte Ingles and Ticketmaster. This type of ticket cannot be combined with any other promotional offers at the fair.

Visitors to the XIX Barcelona Manga Fair dressed as manga, anime or video-game characters have free entry on Friday November 1st. "Characterisation" must be entire, meaning that entry will not be free for attendees in partial costume.

ENTRY TO THE FAIR WILL BE REFUSED TO ATTENDEES WITH PETS, BICYCLES, SKATEBOARDS, SKATES, ROLLERBLADES OR SIMILAR.

Yoichi Takashashi El gran autor de manga japonés Yoichi Takahashi ha confirmado su participación en el XIX Salón del Manga de Barcelona. Nacido en Tokyo el 28 de julio de 1960, empezó a publicar el manga titulado "Captain Tsubasa" en la revista semanal "Jump" de la editorial Shueisha en 1981, que encendió el boom del fútbol en todo el Japón. Otras obras destacadas son: "Sho no densetsu (Leyenda de Sho)", "CHIBI", "ACE! ("As" en ingles"), entre otros títulos.


foto rueda de prensa.jpg The XIX Barcelona Manga Fair had its first press conference on Thursday the 4th of July, before more than thirty journalists. Participating in the event were Takashi Fuchigami, the general consul of Japan in Barcelona; Llucià Homs, Director of Cultural Industries at Barcelona City Council, Menene Gras, Culture and Exhibitions Director at Casa Asia; Antonio Vizcaíno, who designed this year’s publicity poster; Xavier Mallafré, President FICOMIC and the Editors’ Guild of Catalonia and Carles Santamaria, Director of the Barcelona Manga Fair.


Salon Manga 2013. Plano.jpg Last year the Manga Fair took a huge step by going from around 11,000 square metres at the La Farga venue inL’Hospitalet, to 17,000 at the Fira Barcelona in Montjuïc. The number of people attending the last edition exceeded all expectations, with 112,000 visitors. FICOMIC, in collaboration with Fira Barcelona, has taken the decision to double the space for the XIX Barcelona Manga Fair which is to be held from Thursday October 31st until Sunday November 3rd.
